Dr Juliette Tariel

Juliette has recently joined the fish lab to work on tool use in fishes. She will be gathering information about fish using anvils on coral reefs from citizen scientists and conducting observations of tool use on Lizard Island.

Dr Rob Perryman

Rob uses natural markings and acoustic telemetry to study the social behaviour of large aquatic fauna. His current project is developing standardised methods for social network analysis in elasmobranchs.

Dr Amy Tims

Amy is investigating evolution in rainbowfish. Specifically her project examined morphological variation, genetic diversity and climate change resiliance in newly-described rainbowfishes.

Johann was working on social networks of Port Jackson sharks in Jervis Bay.

Pascal had the enviable position of sorting out all our genetics samples from the PJ shark projects.
